The circus at the Croatian national broadcasting company, HRT, continues. On Friday afternoon, in-house rumors said that the news program editor Hloverka Novak-Srzić had tendered her resignation. This was later confirmed by HRT spokesman, Danko Družijanić, but denied by Novak-Srzić

'HTV's director Mislav Stipić confirmed that he had her mandate at his disposal, and that he would submit it to the Program Council', said HRT spokesman Družijanić.
Why Hloverka would claim otherwise, however, Družijanić said that he did not know. 'All we can do is wait until Monday or for Tuesday's Program Council meeting, when we will know who was telling the truth', said Družijanić.
On the other hand, Hloverka told the Jutarnji List daily that she does not know where Družijanić had gotten his information from, saying that she had not put her mandate up to Stipić, nor did she intend to.
Spokesman Družijanić admitted that it isn't clear to him what is going on and why he received one piece of information from the HTV director, and the exact opposite from the new editor.
In addition to receiving opinions from the directors, the Program Council will also have a statement from Holverka on the Council and management, in which she scathingly attacks her co-workers.
'Hloverka claims that, from the start, she was the target of antipathy from former director Blago Markota, as well as subordinates Denis Latin, Aleksandar Stanković, Sanja Mikleušić-Pavić, Nikola Kristić, Lela Knežević, Robert Zuber...', and the list goes on.
'The problem with Latin are his editors. He considers his editors to be his censors', Hloverka claims.
